Cuckoo Final Tasks

Well,
Here is the lowdown on the final learning tasks for this text:
Group Discussion/Lesson on Tragedy as a literary term-- did this in class on Friday.
Final Essay Assignment-- started Friday-- check the link for due dates
Graphic Organizers-- GOBS of graphic organizers you can use if you want to for an outline
Character Chart-- should be finished--use for the essay and discussion-- turn in later.
Vocabulary-- finish by the end of class on Tuesday-- we go to computers on Monday and Tuesday

Please don't worry about the semester project we talked about yesterday, but be sure just to THINK about it-- look at magazines and books and see what it is you might like to read (literary scrapbook project) or to write (publish a book).

Finish the book by the time class starts on Thursday, Feb. 27th.
Finish your character chart by Friday, Feb. 28th
Final Reading test on Friday, Feb. 28th.
Vocabulary Assignment due: Next week-- stay tuned for exact day.

Busy Week-- Lots of Cuckoo!

Reading: Please finish with Part Three by Monday, Feb., 24th.
Writing about The Lobotomist-- due Feb. 19th
Reading Quiz #1-- due Feb. 20th
IN class thinking/writing with POEM from Feb. 20th work
Reading Quiz #2-- see Mrs. Eddy if you missed this quiz (given on Friday, Feb. 21st)
Vocabulary-- due after we finish the book next week-- probably by Friday, but maybe extended to Monday.
Permission to View the Film: I will hand out permission slips next week in the hopes that we will have time to see the film-- made right here is Salem!

Reciting done--time to read!

Please be sure to read tonight-- to page 40 in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Ken Kesey.
Tomorrow we will discuss things/quiz a bit/ start working with vocabulary and get the scoop on current events at Oregon State Hospital. Oh-- don't forget we need to talk about our unreliable narrator and what that means about everything!
